Personal Taste is a romantic comedy that follows the story of Park Kae-in, a clumsy and careless furniture designer, and Jeon Jin-ho, a perfectionist architect who pretends to be gay to rent a room in Kae-in's house. Despite their opposite personalities, they start developing feelings for each other amidst their hidden truths and transformation. However, their relationship is put to the test when Kae-in discovers that Jin-ho is not actually gay and has feelings for her too. With the added complication of a misunderstanding between Jin-ho and the director of the Dam Art Center, the future of their relationship and their professional lives hangs in balance.
