In a world where letters are delivered by golems and the postal service is threatened by the rise of optical telegraph towers, Moist von Lipwig, a charismatic con artist, is given a choice by the ruthless Patrician: become the new Postmaster or face certain death. Moist must navigate a maze of intrigue, deception, and murder, all while confronting his own troubled past and falling for his colleague Adora Belle Dearheart.
