Enlightened

Enlightened follows the story of Amy Jellicoe, a 40-year-old woman who returns home to Riverside, California after a two-month stay at a holistic treatment facility, where she was sent after having a mental breakdown at work. Amy is determined to start anew and spread her newfound positivity and idealism to those around her, but her friends and family are skeptical of her latest intentions. Amy's journey is complicated by her difficult relationship with her mother, Helen, and her ex-husband Levi, who is struggling with addiction. As she tries to heal Levi and mend their relationship, Amy also re-enters the workforce at Abaddonn Industries, where she uncovers corruption and wrongdoing. Despite the challenges she faces, Amy remains determined to make a positive impact on the world around her. The show explores themes of spirituality, self-help, inner healing, and personal growth. Throughout the series, Amy grapples with integrating these ideals into her life and work while facing resistance from others who are skeptical of her new perspective. Will she be able to overcome these obstacles and achieve lasting change?
