In the bustling streets of Lima, Peru, a struggling singer named Toño has been trying to make a name for himself as an imitator of the famous salsa singer Héctor Lavoe. Despite his efforts, he's been met with nothing but rejection and disappointment. But when word gets out that Lavoe is coming to town, Toño sees it as a sign that his luck is about to change. He embarks on a wild adventure to meet his idol, encountering everything from sea sirens to armed groups along the way. Will this finally be the day that turns his fortunes around?
