In the small town of Loreto, a charismatic politician named Odorico Cienfuegos makes a promise to the townspeople: he will build a new cemetery. With the help of three sisters, Justina, Dulcina, and Santina, Odorico wins the election and becomes the president municipal. However, his personal life becomes complicated when his daughter Valeria returns to town and falls in love with Leon Serrano, the new doctor, who quickly becomes Odorico's enemy. As Odorico struggles to fulfill his campaign promise, he becomes increasingly desperate for someone to die, leading him to make some questionable decisions.
