Earth 2

In the year 2192, humanity has fled a dying Earth to live in space stations, but Devon Adair's son Ulysses has contracted a deadly disease called "the syndrome". Desperate to save him, Devon assembles a group to colonize a planet 22 light-years away, where other families with afflicted children can live and thrive. However, the government opposes the plan and tries to stop them. The group manages to escape and arrives at the planet, G889, but their ship crashes and they must trek across the alien world, facing strange creatures and dangerous challenges along the way. They soon learn that the planet is inhabited by two sentient species, the Grendlers and the Terrians, who have a unique connection to the planet's well-being. As they journey towards their destination, New Pacifica, they discover that the Council, a powerful government group, wants to take control of G889 for resettlement and has been trying to eliminate the Terrians. Devon's son, who has been healed by the Terrians and exhibits some of their characteristics, becomes the key to the Council's plan for the planet.
