All in the Family

In the working-class neighborhood of Astoria, Queens, Archie Bunker's family is a hotbed of conflict. Archie, a stubborn and set-in-his-ways patriarch, constantly clashes with his wife Edith and daughter Gloria over the issues of the day. Gloria's husband Michael, a college student and later instructor, is often the target of Archie's ire, earning him the nickname "Meathead." As the family navigates the changing times of the 1970s, their disagreements become a reflection of the cultural clash between the Greatest Generation and Baby Boomers.
