If you already know who lives comfortably upstairs (...) and toils day and night downstairs (...) at this Yorkshire country estate in 1927, then the film’s cavalcade of familiar faces is a treat.

...it works. It really works. It's goodhearted and clever, and it knows when to end.

If you are already a fan of creator Julian Fellowes' upstairs-downstairs ITV drama, its big-screen debut will likely delight.

...there are some funny moments and Kevin Doyle, playing the overexcitable servant Molesley, pretty much steals the entire film...
