In the heart of Munich, two sisters, Gerlinde and Henriette, known as "Linda" and "Henri," lead vastly different lives despite working together at their shoe store. Linda yearns for freedom, while Henri is content with her happy marriage to bus driver Benedikt. One fateful night, their lives take a tragic turn when they are victims of a brutal attack, leaving Henri dead and Linda struggling to piece together the truth. As the police investigation stalls, suspicion falls on Pastor Linus Gobert, who Henri had confided in. Did a botched robbery lead to murder, or is something more sinister at play?
