"The Bees and the Birds" is a documentary that follows a family's move from the bustling city of Berlin to the rural countryside of the Uckermarck. Lola and her family seek a simpler, more authentic life, but their new neighbors are skeptical of these city slickers. To bridge the gap, Lola starts a project to restore the neglected garden and produce their own food. As more people from the city and village join in, the project becomes a reflection on modern life and the changing definitions of work, love, and relationships.
