Village of the Damned

In the small coastal town of Midwich, California, an unseen force inexplicably causes the entire population to fall into a deep sleep for several hours. When they awaken, ten women in their childbearing years find themselves mysteriously pregnant, including a virgin girl and a married woman who hasn't been intimate with her husband in over a year due to his extended business trip to Tokyo. As the pregnancies progress, strange occurrences start to take place in the town, and the women begin to experience eerie dreams. When the babies are born, they all have pale skin, white-blonde hair, and cobalt eyes - and it quickly becomes apparent that something is terribly wrong. The children display fierce intellect and seem to possess a sinister power that allows them to control the minds of those around them. As the townspeople struggle to comprehend what's happening, an epidemiologist named Dr. Susan Verner is sent by the federal government to investigate. She joins forces with the local doctor, Dr. Alan Chaffee, to study the phenomenon and uncover the truth behind the mysterious pregnancies and the strange behavior of the children. The situation takes a dark turn as the "parents" begin to realize that their children are not human and that they represent a serious threat not only to their own safety but also to humanity itself. In desperation, they turn to Reverend George, who secretly tries to find a way to stop the children, but his efforts may be too little, too late. As the situation in Midwich continues spiraling out of control, it's clear that something must be done to save the town and prevent the impending catastrophe from spreading beyond its borders
