In a France where a charismatic Muslim president has introduced patriarchy and polygamy, a literary scholar's life is turned upside down. François, a man used to having relationships limited to one year, must confront his growing loneliness. He's offered a chance to resume his teaching job at the Sorbonne, but only if he converts to Islam. As he navigates this new reality, François must confront his own beliefs and values. Will he submit to the new order or risk everything to stand up for what he believes in?
