In 16th-century Russia, Ivan the Terrible ruled with an iron fist, convinced he was on a divine mission. He created a personal guard, the "Dogs of the Tsar," who brutally suppressed any dissent. As the country bled, Metropolitan Philip, Ivan's friend and a voice of reason, dared to oppose the tyrant. What followed was a clash of visions that would shake the foundations of morality and justice.
