Total Recall

In the year 2084, construction worker Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is bored with his mundane life and seeks excitement through a memory implant procedure offered by Rekall, a company that promises to turn dreams into virtual reality. However, something goes wrong during the procedure, and Quaid discovers that his entire life is a lie and that he is actually a secret agent who has been given a false identity to protect him from the villainous Governor Cohaagen (Ronny Cox) and his ruthless enforcer Richter (Michael Ironside). With the help of Melina (Rachel Ticotin), a Martian freedom fighter, Quaid sets out to uncover the truth about his past and bring down Cohaagen's oppressive regime on Mars. Along the way, he encounters Lori (Sharon Stone), who reveals herself to be a secret agent tasked with monitoring Quaid's reconditioning process. As Quaid navigates through dangerous situations and confronts his enemies, he must also confront the blurred lines between reality and fantasy. Is he truly Douglas Quaid or Carl Hauser, the man he used to be? Can he trust anyone around him or are they all part of an elaborate scheme to control his mind?
