Time After Time

H.G. Wells' time machine is stolen by Jack the Ripper, who escapes to the future. Wells pursues him to modern-day San Francisco, where he finds a world vastly different from his expectations. As Wells navigates this new world and tries to stop Stevenson from killing again, he falls in love with a bank employee named Amy. They work together to prevent further murders and restore order to both their time periods. Ultimately Wells decides to return to his own time, taking Amy with him, and destroy the dangerous time machine.
