Those Who Wish Me Dead

Those Who Wish Me Dead follows the story of Hannah Faber, a smokejumper who is haunted by her failure to save three young campers and a fellow smokejumper in a forest fire. She is now working in a fire lookout tower in Park County, Montana, where she encounters Connor Casserly, a 12-year-old boy who is on the run from two assassins hired by his father's killer. Connor's father, Owen Casserly, had discovered evidence of his boss's illegal activities and was killed along with his family in an apparent gas explosion. As Hannah and Connor navigate their way through the dense forest, they are pursued by the assassins "Jack" and "Patrick," who will stop at nothing to eliminate them. The situation becomes even more dangerous when a massive forest fire breaks out, threatening to consume everything in its path. With their lives on the line, Hannah must use her expertise as a survival expert to protect Connor and outsmart their ruthless pursuers. Will they be able to escape the deadly trap that has been set for them?
