Thing I Don't Get

"Fünf Dinge, die ich nicht verstehe" ist ein coming-of-age drama that follows the story of Johannes, a 15-year-old boy struggling to find his place in a small town on the outskirts of the Ruhr region. Neglected by his father and older brother, Johannes spends most of his time with his best friend Marike, until their friendship blossoms into something more. As he tries to navigate his new feelings and identity, Johannes is torn between his rural upbringing and the allure of the city. He searches for belonging among the men in his life, but ultimately must confront the uncertainty and confusion that comes with growing up.
