The Women

"The Women" is a poignant drama that follows the story of Misaki, a woman on the cusp of turning 40 who has faced a series of setbacks in her life. Despite her best efforts, she has been unable to find a job and is struggling to care for her aging, handicapped mother. Her only solace comes from her clandestine meetings with Naoki, her mother's care worker, and her childhood friend Kaori who runs a bee farm. But when Naoki betrays her and Kaori suddenly dies, Misaki's world is shattered. As she grapples with the loss of the people she holds dear, she is forced to confront the harsh realities of her life and find a way to move forward.
