There is a long period that John Mogensen can never be satisfied and he is confused by what are the things he truely loves and is willing to do everything for. Is it the music, the stage, the fame or his family?

Ole Bornedal svigter ikke sine helte og har valgt en gennemgående, drømmende måde at få drengen i John til at skubbe til faderen i John – som filmisk er flot og gribende gjort.

Rasmus Bjerg har iført sig den store skjorte og selerne, og han ligner og gør det godt i Bornedals flot filmede tidsbillede af 60’erne og 70’erne med tilrøgede bodegaer, mørke parcelhusstuer og dekadente pladestudier.
