In "The Trigger," a young man fresh out of prison tries to rebuild his life by reconnecting with his former loved ones, but his past mistakes threaten to ruin his chance at a fresh start. Eric, a charismatic hustler, juggles his relationships with his girlfriend, Heather, his former pimp, Dolores, and his best client, Tommy, as he tries to create a sense of family. However, things take a dangerous turn when his former drug dealer, Bennie, is brought in for questioning and Eric's secrets are at risk of being exposed. Will he be able to keep his new life together or will his past mistakes tear everything apart?
