The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning tells the story of the origins of Leatherface, the infamous killer from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. The film takes place in the 1930s and follows a young woman who dies giving birth prematurely in a slaughterhouse, leaving her baby to be raised by a strange and eccentric family. Thirty years later, the baby, now known as Thomas, works in the same slaughterhouse but is forced to leave after it is shut down. He finds a chainsaw and begins his reign of terror, killing anyone who crosses his path. Meanwhile, two brothers and their girlfriends are driving across the country to enlist in the Vietnam War when they encounter a biker gang. One of them follows them on her motorcycle and causes an accident that throws Chrissie from their vehicle. The local sheriff arrives on the scene and kills one of the bikers before bringing Chrissie's friends to the Hewitt homestead where young Leatherface is learning his trade. As events unfold, it becomes clear that no one is safe from Leatherface's deadly wrath as he continues to butcher those around him with his trusty chainsaw. Will anyone survive this horrific encounter with pure evil?
