In a charming rural town in Japan, the Haruno family's quirky lives are filled with laughter and love. Yoshiko, the creative and determined mother, works on her animated film project while her husband Nobuo practices hypnotherapy. Their children, Hajime and Sachiko, navigate the ups and downs of adolescence and childhood, respectively. Uncle Ayano, a sound engineer and record producer, visits and shares a nostalgic tale from his past that resonates with Sachiko. Meanwhile, Sachiko tries to cope with her giant, mute doppelganger that silently watches her.
