Silence of the Sea

In the small town of Le Silence de la Mer, a young woman named Jeanne Larosière and her grandfather, André Larosière, live a peaceful life until a German Wehrmacht captain named Werner von Ebrennac is sent to occupy their home during World War II. Despite his love for French culture, music, and language, Werner's presence is met with silence and hostility from Jeanne and her grandfather. As the days go by, Werner continues to try and break the ice, sharing his passion for music with Jeanne, who eventually starts to fall for him. However, as Werner discovers the true intentions of his Nazi comrades in Paris, he becomes disillusioned and ashamed of hiscountry's actions. Will Jeanne's love for Werner be strong enough to overcome the animosity between their nations, or will the silence between them ultimately tear them apart?
