In the absurd world of 1970s Albania, a clever bureaucrat named Comrade Zylo rules the top censorship institution with an iron fist. He enlists the talented writer Demka to craft a speech on ideological issues, but Demka soon realizes he's become a pawn in Zylo's game of propaganda. As he struggles to find his voice, Demka falls for Zylo's wife, Adila, setting off a chain of events that will change everything.
