In the 1960s, Portugal was ruled by the iron fist of António de Oliveira Salazar's fascist dictatorship. Enter Captain Falcão, the ultra-patriotic superhero who fights against the "red menace" of communism, following Salazar's direct orders. Alongside his trusty sidekick Puto Perdiz, Falcão takes on all threats to the nation, from political dissidents to Vladimir Lenin himself. But as the lines between heroism and propaganda blur, Falcão must confront the true cost of his loyalty to the state. A darkly comedic satire that skewers the absurdity of anti-communist paranoia and the dangers of blind patriotism.
