In a small, isolated town nestled in the mountains between Spain and Portugal, a young teacher named Miguel is tasked with spreading knowledge and reason to the townspeople. But as winter descends and the darkness closes in, Miguel finds himself increasingly fascinated by the enigmatic Dorinda, and the town is shaken by a mysterious death. As the lines between the living and the dead begin to blur, Miguel must confront the supernatural forces that threaten to consume the town, and question everything he thought he knew about the world.
