The Necessities of Life

In a Canadian sanatorium in 1952, an Inuit man named Tivii struggles to adapt to his new surroundings, feeling disconnected from his family and culture. Through the help of a young orphan boy, Kaki, Tivii rediscovers his pride and energy by sharing his culture and learning about hope. As their bond grows, Tivii dreams of adopting Kaki and bringing him home to his family in the North. But as they navigate their differences and confront the challenges of their new relationship, will they be able to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way?
