The Man Who Would Be King tells the story of two British adventurers, Danny Dravot and Peachy Carnehan, who embark on a journey to the remote land of Kafiristan in search of fortune and glory. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including dangerous bandits, blizzards, and avalanches.
