The Lovebirds

The Lovebirds is an action-comedy movie that follows the story of a couple, Jibran (Kumail Nanjiani) and Leilani (Issa Rae), who are on the verge of breaking up but find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery instead. After hitting a cyclist with their car and fleeing the scene, they are pursued by a man with a mustache claiming to be a police officer, who then kills the cyclist. The couple decides not to turn themselves in, believing their story will be dismissed due to racial profiling, and instead, they set out to find the true killer in order to clear their names. Their investigation leads them to various extreme situations that challenge their relationship, all while trying to stay one step ahead of the killer who's hunting them.
