Los Angeles, 1983. A group of young, wealthy individuals are living a life of excess, fueled by drugs, sex, and violence. Graham, the son of a Hollywood producer, is struggling to find his place in the world, while his friends Martin and Tim are caught up in their own desires and addictions. A new wave rock singer, Bryan Metro, is having trouble coping with the pressures of fame and the expectations of his manager. Jack, a hotel doorman, is trying to leave his criminal past behind him, but is pulled back in when his uncle involves him in a kidnapping scheme. Tim, pressured by his father Les to go on a trip to Hawaii, finds himself disgusted by his father's lecherous behavior towards young women.
