The Hill

Rickey Hill, a young boy from a poor town in Texas, discovers his extraordinary talent for baseball despite being burdened by leg braces due to a degenerative spinal disease. His strict pastor father discourages Rickey from playing baseball to protect him from injury and wants him to follow in his footsteps and become a preacher. As Rickey grows older, he becomes a baseball phenomenon, but his dream of playing professional baseball is threatened when his desire to participate in a try-out for a legendary major league scout divides the family. With the support of his mother and against the wishes of his father, Rickey pursues his passion for baseball, facing challenges and obstacles along the way. Will Rickey's determination and talent be enough to overcome the odds and achieve his dream?
