The Fencer

The Fencer is a historical drama film that tells the story of Endel Nelis, a young Estonian fencer who flees from the Russian secret police and returns to his homeland, where he becomes a physical education teacher at a local school. Despite the danger, Endel starts a fencing club for his students, who become his closest friends and confidants. As the children's skills improve, they dream of participating in a national fencing tournament in Leningrad, but Endel's controversial past threatens to catch up with him. He must choose between risking everything to take the children to Leningrad or putting his safety first and disappointing them.
