The Cleanse

In "The Cleanse," a heartbroken man named Paul (Johnny Galecki) attends a spiritual retreat to purify his body and mind. However, he soon discovers that the retreat's cleansing program unleashes more than just everyday toxins - it releases his inner demons into the real world. Paul must confront his personal struggles and the bizarre creatures that manifest from his negative emotions while navigating his feelings for a fellow participant named Maggie (Anna Friel). With the guidance of retreat leaders Lily (Anjelica Huston) and Ken (Oliver Platt), Paul must face his inner turmoil and make a difficult choice to complete the cleanse or escape from the retreat. The movie is an unique blend of drama, fantasy, horror, and comedy that explores themes of self-discovery, trauma, and personal growth.
