In the squalid slums of old Cairo,says a pitiful human being is living under constant government control. His life takes a dramatic turn when he crosses paths with an ancient Egyptian porter carrying a throne in search of his lost king. Sayed becomes obsessed with the idea of sitting on the throne, even for just 5 minutes, to experience the power and control he's been missing. But as he becomes more and more consumed by his desire, he begins to realize the true nature of oppression in his country. Through this political allegory, the film offers a thought-provoking exploration of the self-imposed limitations that plague third-world nations.
