Let's face it. Even though I call the film a masterpiece (and I do), my plot description has not set you afire with desire to see the film.

In the midst of political turmoil, three young friends living in Tel Aviv find their lives changed forever when a young Palestinian man, Ashraf, enters their lives. Noam, a reserved military man, falls in love with Ashraf after meeting him at a checkpoint. Despite the challenges they face as a gay couple, they find a sense of belonging and love in each other's company. However, their happiness is short-lived as Ashraf's family refuses to accept his sexuality and he is forced to marry his cousin. In a tragic turn of events, Ashraf decides to take his own life and the life of others in a suicide bombing. The film ends with Noam reflecting on the love they shared and the senselessness of war.
