The Big Hit

The Big Hit is a 1998 action-comedy film that follows the story of Melvin Smiley (Mark Wahlberg), a ruthless hitman who is constantly being scammed by his cutthroat colleagues in the business. When Melvin and his team kidnap the daughter of a wealthy electronics magnate, they realize too late that she is the goddaughter of their crime boss, Paris. As they try to keep their hostage hidden from her parents and Melvin's unsuspecting fiancée, things take a turn for the worse when Cisco, one of Melvin's team members, kills Gump and implicates Melvin in the kidnapping. A team of assassins crashes Melvin's dinner with Pam's family, leading to a shootout and chaos that ensues as Melvin and Keiko try to escape and evade Cisco. Along the way, Melvin and Keiko develop a romance, adding to the confusion and hilarity of the situation. The film features an all-star cast, including Mark Wahlberg, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christina Applegate, Boyd Vandevere, and Antonio Sabato Jr.
