The American

The American is a 2010 crime thriller film directed by Anton Corbijn and starring George Clooney. The movie follows the story of Jack, a skilled assassin who becomes embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse while hiding out in a small Italian town. After a job goes wrong in Sweden, Jack makes his way to Italy to lay low for a while. He takes on the identity of a local man and begins living a quiet life in the countryside.
