Ein mysteriöser Krawattenmörder, der schon seit längerem sein Unwesen treibt, schlägt eines Abends auch in einem heruntergekommenen Wiener Vorstadtkino zu. Die Kinobesitzerin Hermine. entdeckt die Leiche des alten Mannes nach Ende der Vorstellung. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Freund Schorsch will sie die Leiche unauffällig los werden. Doch der Tote ist plötzlich verschwunden.
