Swades

Mohan Bhargava, a successful NASA scientist, returns to his childhood home in India to find his nanny, Kaveri Amma, who helped raise him. Along the way, he discovers a deep connection with his roots and a desire to give back to his community. He falls in love with Geeta, a strong-willed woman who works tirelessly to improve the lives of the villagers through education. As he becomes more involved in the community, Mohan realizes that there are many challenges that the villagers face, such as power cuts and lack of resources. He decides to take action and sets up a small hydroelectric power generation facility to provide consistent electricity to the village. Through his journey, Mohan learns valuable lessons about the importance of giving back and making a difference in the lives of others.
