Suntan tells the story of Kostis, a middle-aged doctor who becomes infatuated with a young tourist named Anna while working on a hedonistic Greek island. As he becomes more and more obsessed with her, he neglects his work and joins her group of friends in their wild partying, but his attempts to impress her only lead to embarrassment and jealousy. When Anna suddenly disappears, Kostis spirals out of control, stalking her and eventually kidnapping her. In a dark and twisted turn of events, Kostis' obsession with Anna leads him down a dangerous path of self-destruction.
