Stree

In the small town of Chanderi, a legendary female ghost known as "Stree" has been rumored to abduct men during the annual religious festival. A young tailor named Vicky dismisses the idea of Stree's existence until he falls in love with a mysterious woman who only appears during the festival. As Vicky's friends start to disappear, they discover that Stree may be real and try to find a way to stop her. They learn that Stree was once a beautiful courtesan who was killed by jealous townspeople, and her spirit has been seeking revenge ever since. Vicky finally realizes that Stree only wants love and respect, and he decides to save his town by cutting her braid, the source of her powers. The movie ends with Stree vanishing, and the townspeople erecting a statue of her with a new phrase: "O Stree, protect us."
