Sonny Boy

Sonny Boy is a powerful drama that follows the story of an interracial couple, Rika and Waldemar, who risk everything to hide Holland's persecuted Jews during the rise of the Third Reich. Despite the danger, they open their doors to those seeking refuge, including a young Jewish man named Sam. When their home is invaded by German soldiers, they are forced to evacuate and leave everything behind. Rika, Waldemar, and their son Waldy are eventually arrested and separated, with Waldy being sent to live with a foster family. Throughout the film, Waldy struggles to understand the truth about his parents' fate, and it isn't until 60 years later that he learns the full story of their bravery and sacrifice.
