Somewhere Winter

Somewhere Winter tells the story of two generations of lovers across three cities, entwined by the famous singer CHYI Chin's song "It's About In Winter". An Ran, a university student, and Qi Xiao, a Taiwanese photographer, fall in love after meeting at a concert in 1991. Life, however, tears them apart, and they are separated by family obligations, government restrictions, and cruel fate. Years later, their daughter, Yu Xiaonian, discovers a collection of letters and photographs that reveal her mother's long-lost love story. As she learns the truth about her mother's past, Xiaonian begins to see her in a new light. Will the truth be enough to heal the rift between them? Directed by Wang Weiming and adapted from Rao Xueman's novel of the same name, Somewhere Winter is a romantic film that explores the enduring power of love despite the challenges life throws our way.
