Siri Parakum

In the ancient kingdom of Dambadeniya, a young prince named Parakramabahu is forced to flee his home after his mother, the queen, plots to kill him in order to secure the throne for her own son. Adopted by a humble farmer and raised in secret, Parakramabahu grows up unaware of his royal heritage. As he comes of age, he discovers his natural talent for leadership and martial arts, and soon becomes the subject of a prophecy that predicts he will one day rule the kingdom. Meanwhile, the current king, Waththiya, faces criticism and opposition from Buddhist monks and senior ministers. In a climactic showdown, Waththiya is killed in a tragic accident, and Parakramabahu is revealed as the true heir to the throne. With the support of Pathiraja Senevi and the people, Parakramabahoo ascends as King Parakramabahu II of Dambadeniya, with his childhood sweetheart, Sirimal Ethana, by his side as queen consort.
