In the impoverished neighborhood of El Paraíso in Bogotá, Colombia, a young couple, Ronald and Lady, are deeply in love. However, their happiness is short-lived as corrupt members of the Colombian army, including a ruthless lieutenant and a dishonest sergeant, create a false combat operation in the area, leading to the tragic deaths of many young men, including Ronald.
