Zatoichi se ve obligado a matar a un joven que debe una deuda a un jefe yakuza. Momentos después, su hermana Osode llega con el dinero que ganó (prostituyéndose) para pagar sus deudas. Los verdaderos motivos del jefe se revelan y él intenta secuestrar a Osode a pesar de que la deuda está pagada. Zatoichi se da cuenta de su grave error y protege a la chica de la banda. Osode y Zatoichi se encuentran en un dilema, ya que ella debe confiar en el asesino de su hermano para su protección y Zatoichi lucha con la injusticia que ha causado.
