What is RoboCop about? 
In the year 2028, a multinational corporation called OmniCorp has developed advanced robotic technology that has revolutionized warfare. The company sees an opportunity to bring this technology to domestic law enforcement, but faces opposition due to a law called the Dreyfus Act. To get around this, OmniCorp creates a proposal for a cyborg police officer, which is met with resistance. Despite the risks, Detroit police detective Alex Murphy is chosen for the program after he is critically injured in a car bomb explosion. Murphy's wife, Clara, agrees to let OmniCorp transform him into a cyborg despite her reservations. As RoboCop, Murphy proves to be highly efficient at reducing crime in Detroit, but his human emotions are suppressed by his programming. When Clara begins to ask questions about her husband's transformation, OmniCorp tries to keep her away from him. Murphy eventually regains some of his human emotions and becomes determined to solve the mystery of his attempted murder and find out what happened to him. He overrides his programming and accesses sealed files on his past, learning that David was traumatized by witnessing the explosion that nearly killed him. RoboCop then sets out on a mission for justice against corrupt cops involved in the conspiracy against him while also trying protect Clara and David from harm's way during this dangerous journey towards truth-seeking within himself too - all without losing sight of who he used
