Renoir

Renoir is a 2012 French drama film directed by Gilles Bourdos, starring Michel Bouquet and Vincent Rottiers as the famous painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir and his son Jean Renoir.s The film takes place in 1915 on the Côte d'Azur, where the elder Renoir is struggling with the loss of his wife, arthritis, and the news that his son has been wounded in World War I. He finds a new source of energy and inspiration in Andrée Heuschling, a young woman who becomes his last model and muse. Andrée also captivates Jean, who returns home to convalesce and begins to develop his passion for cinema. Despite his father's opposition, he falls in love with the fiery and unpredictable Andrée, leading to a complex and emotional triangle between the three. The film explores themes of art, family, love, death, war, youth, old age, memory, loss, energy, beauty, decay, growth, inspiration ,and passion.
