Housed in a shed on the harbour, at the end of the docks, he meets an eccentric painter and a mysterious and beautiful girl called Nelly (Morgan, The Fallen Idol)… From then on he will be trapped in a tragic destiny, in spite of his passion for Nelly and his will to live…This haunting pre-war drama was one of the key films that influenced Film Noir in 1940’s Hollywood.
