Please Give

Please Give is a comedy-drama film that follows the lives of three generations of New Yorkers, each struggling with their own set of problems. Kate (Catherine Keener) and Alex (Oliver Platt) are a married couple who run a successful furniture store, but their attempts to expand their business are hindered by the elderly woman who lives in the apartment next door. Andra (Ann Morgan Guilbert) is a cranky and stubborn woman who refuses to move out, much to the frustration of Kate and Alex. Meanwhile, their teenage daughter Abby (Sarah Steele) navigates her own struggles with adolescence, including her first crush and her desire for independence. The film explores themes of family, relationships, death, and the search for meaning in life, all set against the backdrop of New York City.
